RealGroom was born from the complementary talents of Fran Manuel and Cristina Pérez. Two professionals united by their passion for grooming who have built together an internationally renowned brand.
Fran Manuel – Founder and creative soul of RealGroom
From a young age, Fran Manuel felt a deep passion for hairdressing, both for humans and animals. It was this vocation that, more than five years ago, led him to join Cristina Pérez to train together in the world of professional grooming.
After much dedication, practice, and searching, they discovered that their true passion was in dog grooming, and so they opened their first dog grooming salon, a small venture that took a lot of effort to get off the ground, like all those who start from scratch. But perseverance, creativity, and love for animals were the driving force behind it all.
From the beginning, Fran was a pioneer in introducing the Asian style in his area, a type of grooming that would distinguish him internationally over time. Fascinated by competitions, he began to train and perfect his technique until, in his first official participation, he won his first gold medal in the beginner category with an American Cocker Spaniel: the breed that, along with the poodle, completely captivated him and marked his style forever.
With the arrival of his two dogs—a cocker spaniel and a poodle—Fran immersed himself fully in the world of Asian Fusion, a technique in which he specialized and with which he began to stand out more and more.
Later, together with Cristina, they opened their second grooming salon, this time with a more defined focus: the personal brand Fran Manuel Groomer was born, centered on his style, technique, and artistic vision. Through his professional account, he began showcasing his work, especially with scissor cuts in Asian style, and started to become internationally known.
Thanks to his authenticity and talent, Fran grew exponentially on social media and began giving seminars around the world. He has trained groomers in countries such as Mexico, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Puerto Rico, Poland, Peru, Colombia, among many other world-renowned cities.
In 2024, he also began his career as an international judge, being part of the jury in important championships in Mexico, the United Kingdom, and soon Colombia, with a promising trajectory within the professional realm of competitive grooming.
Today, Fran has over 50,000 followers and is considered one of the most recognized and active groomers in the world, constantly traveling to share his vision of aesthetic and technical grooming, always with passion, precision, and elegance.
Cristina Pérez – CEO and strategic vision of RealGroom
Cristina has been the fundamental support throughout Fran’s career. Always present at every step, she has accompanied him in his achievements, competitions, and personal and professional growth. Together they decided to launch RealGroom, the brand that combines talent, experience, and real tools designed from within the dog grooming industry.
From the beginning, Cristina has led the strategic area of the company, taking care of management, accounting, marketing, advertising, and the commercial aspect, while Fran has directed the image, design, and technical development of the products.
In addition to her role as CEO of RealGroom, Cristina has also developed her own professional path within grooming. From the start, she was in charge of the feline grooming in the salon, and over time not only did she specialize, but she became a reference in the field.
For a year now, Cristina has been exclusively dedicated to professional feline grooming, being one of the few groomers in the world who cuts cats with scissors, a revolutionary technique that enhances the natural aesthetics of the feline and promotes correct grooming, without sedation or stress.
With this unique technique, Cristina has created a new standard in feline grooming, focused on safety, precision, and respect for the animal. Her work has begun to inspire many professionals to look at feline grooming from a different angle: more ethical, more artistic, and more professional.
